One of the perks of being a photographer is the opportunity to travel to some really interesting parts of the world. Working behind the camera has taken me across the globe, from Switzerland to Bali, Hong Kong to Saudi Arabia, to shoot many different subjects. Sometimes capturing specific collections of artefacts for a book or an auction, other times to illustrate a subject with landscapes or architectural images.

I will never forget spending time in Oman capturing the stunning exteriors of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, or climbing the slopes of an adjacent mountain to get the perfect view of the Fort at Samail in the shadow of the Jebel Akhdar. Having the opportunity to capture the scale of industry at the huge aluminium smelting plant in Bahrain, and, on the same trip going to iconic sites such as the Pearl Roundabout, made famous by the protests during the Arab Spring.

These images are from some of the books that I have been commissioned to illustrate.
